2026 International Mother Language Day
Every year, 21 February celebrates the richness of mother tongues and their essential role in transmitting cultures, traditions and values. Established by UNESCO in 1999, International Mother Language Day reminds us of the importance of preserving linguistic diversity and promoting dialogue between peoples.
At Camping Le Moulin de David****, this diversity is part of our DNA. Located in the heart of the Périgord region, our campsite welcomes holidaymakers from all over Europe and beyond. French, Dutch, English, Belgian and German guests share moments of conviviality each season, creating a warm and multicultural atmosphere.
At our 4-star family campsite, languages become a real bridge between visitors. Around the pool, during an activity or simply while relaxing on the terrace, conversations flow naturally, sometimes in several languages at once, but always with smiles and good humour.
This linguistic richness also allows guests to discover new traditions and ways of life. A conversation can quickly turn into a gastronomic discovery, an exchange of travel experiences or the sharing of family stories. These encounters help to make each stay unique and memorable.
By celebrating International Mother Language Day, we wish to remind everyone that travelling is also a wonderful opportunity to discover others and enrich each other's lives. And while words may differ from one language to another, the pleasure of sharing a holiday remains universal.
