Dordogne - Périgord is a region where gastronomy is a true art of living. At the Dordogne campsite Le Moulin de David, catering is taken very seriously. Foie gras and truffles, confit, omelette with ceps, walnut pastries and many other wonders fill the plates of our tables, but our glasses are not left out and welcome the superb Bergerac wines with its 13 AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée).
At the Moulin de David campsite, we have several restaurants to choose from: The snack bar, the pizzeria or the Brasserie. You can discover these below.
So that your stay at the Moulin de David campsite becomes a holiday for the whole family (including mothers!), opt for our half-board offer.
A restaurant service fast food to eat in or take away is available every day of the week in the evening from 7pm to 9.30pm. You will find pizzas, chips, grills, pasta or salads, but also more elaborate dishes. And every lunchtime, you will find a 'snacking' formula.
At Le Moulin de David, we believe that just because it is a simple and fast food restaurant, it does not mean that we should take the easy way out by offering ready-made industrial dishes. At Moulin de David we don't forget that we are a campsite in the Dordogne, a region of gastronomy par excellence. Most of the dishes offered are home-made. The pizzas are also made on site.
When you lunch or dine at the Moulin de David snack bar, you will find the pleasure of healthy and economical catering.

During "low season" (May, June and September) we organise table d'hote on the terrace. We take great pleasure in taking time out to sit down at the same table as our guests. As with all meals amongst friends we start off with an aperitif and finish off with a coffee (or cup of tea). This is a great way to meet up and make friends when the campsite is still relatively quiet.

When you have a busy day planned you need an excellent and hearty French breakfast to get you going. Book your table the night before and the following morning between 8.30 am and 10 am pop down to the bar terrace area to enjoy homemade Viennese pastries and freshly baked bread and a hot drink of your choice (expresso coffee, a variety of teas, hot or cold chocolate). And of course butter, (or salted butter for our guests from Brittany!), jam, and fruit juice too, ... We have also put some thought into breakfast for our youngest guests with high chairs for their comfort at the table and a mini-breakfast…at a mini-price – just for them!
